Stash Enhancement Expedtions....I caught Annie off guard w/that one....
So, yes. I have been buying yarn left and right. Let me break it down:
1) Kongle kit and the Peace Shawl kit from Allergro Yarns.
Nora is a doll, and she let me pick up the yarn, so I didn't have to pay for shipping it 4 miles to my house. I've been reading the pattern for Kongle, and I'm sad--there aren't any steeks for the armhole..what the hell, I thought the Norweigians were steek-freaks...maybe just the patterns I'm picking out?? So, I'll have to sew the armholes, and cut, just like I'll have to do w/Madeline. I did start the Peace shawl, the pattern isn't hard to follow, but I'm only on row 15. Love the blue color, but I've been feeling blue lately...
2) 10,000 Lakes Socks (for Sockpal)
Blue. I like the striped blue. The yarn is Trekking XXL and the pattern is Vine Lace from Socks, Socks, Socks. I promise, these socks are for sockpal. Not Renada. It's coming along alright. I'm hoping to have at least one done by the end of next week while in Chicago.
3) IK socks are fini!!
These socks make me say, DY-NO-MITE!! (Did anyone else watch the Good Times Marathon on TV Land?? Hmm...maybe just me...really, how many people you know have even heard of Good Times?? Really surprised they had a whole marathon for little ol' me)
4) Silk Corset is coming...along...
I finished the bust descreases after this picture was taken. I hate ribbing. HATE RIBBING. REALLY, REALLY SICK OF RIBBING. But I digress...I need a t-shirt made that says that...have I mentioned that before??
5) Birch Leaf Socks. I know, they're all over blogland.
But I love this yarn. It's Koigu, and I saw it on sale months ago at The Yarnery. Of course I didn't buy it then. I had to wait four months and pay full price. But this is the perfect color for these socks. It reminds me of leaves in August that are green, but turning brown and red, but still green. I love this Nickelodeon color. LOOOOVE IIIIT!!! Oh, and they're mine. Renada's, not sockpal's.
Hmm..oh, and yarn I just bought not that long ago...
From left to right: Opal "Flamingo" sock yarn; Fortissma, green twist sock yarn; Lanet Superwash, orange sock yarn; and Malibrigo, Peppermint Twist. When in doubt, buy sock yarn. I don't even like Opal, but now I have it. Everyone says it wears like iron. Who wants to wear iron??
So, this is my sexy summer. I haven't even mentioned the Noro bag and camel scarf I'm knitting for the LYS. Then there's Aaron, Madeline and Marilyn. Yep, Marilyn. That's a new one. I'm almost done w/the second sleeve.
Oh and have ya'll seen the new Noro book?? I need this....
like a whole in my head. Maybe as a birthday gift to me. Because I need more yarn...on the needles...right....

What an awesome yarn score! The socks look great too.
I used to watch Good Times all the time! Loved that show.

We can't get Zephyr or Knit Picks yarns in Australia, so I've arranged some swaps on the Summer of Lace group. Now I have to decide what shawls to make. That Peace Shawl is mighty pretty....
