Hi Helen! So there's two of us now! And you also bought the Ariadne yarn too? Mine came in the mail Monday, but I just opened the package tonight...
Look at that presentation! I'm impressed!
Oh, and the yarn! My precious yarn! And it looks just like the picture to me. How often does that happen internet shopping?
I caught a gleamer of the silk, so I had to wind a ball. At 12:50am..I know, madness...
I cast on for a gauge swatch on US4's but the pattern says US6's...hmm..for 7sts/1"? I'll knit a few rows on the fours and see where that takes me. Oh, and what size are you knitting? I'm a 41" bust, but nervous about making the 40", hell, or even the 44" How much ease is it meant to have??
Okay, I'm going to sleep now. Right after this row...

Hello, gorgeous wool. I love, love, love the colorway you chose. Listen, I was so excited/obsessed by the Lucie design and those fantastic colors that I brought a non-knitting message board in on my color choice, asked them to cast a vote for their favorite colorway. Winner: Briar Rose. Very pretty but I need a garment to set off my turquoise jewelry, hence my Plankton in Ariadne.
Got in another couple of hours of knitting last night. So, so beautiful.
As for size, I bet if you email Mademoiselle de Sauveterre, she'd be able to advise.
Happy knitting with that gorgeous wool!

So you asked for suggestions, then went w/your gut--funny, LOL...I'll have to take a look at the colorway you chose. I like the Martha K colorway alot--it's looking great in this swatch. I think I will use two skeins while knitting and alternate every 5 rows. The model alternates every 10 rows, but I want to make sure there is no pooling--I usually don't care about pooling for socks, but this is a sweater..

Alternating every 5 rows sounds right. I'm just letting it pool and kinda loving it - thinking with the blues and greens the pooling makes it look even more like water. Anyway, looking at the pooling on mine, if you changed every 10 rows, there'd still be significant pooling.
I'm about 8" up the back, hoping maybe to finish the back this weekend - could be way too ambitious but I'll try. I can't get over how totally gorgeous this yarn is both in hand and in coloration.
